Chunks of concrete fall from Charlotte high-riseLarge clumps of concrete fell from a building in uptown Charlotte early prompting police and firefighters to cordon off a section of the street early Thursday morning. The Charlotte Fire Department was called to the Builders Building located at 312 W. Trade Street after several softball-sized pieces of concrete fell onto the street around 11:37 p.m. Wednesday.
